There have been many connotations of the word Wicked. In most of the cases, it is used to denote a negative event. Wicked has been one of the famous theatricals which were played at the Broadway.

The plot of the play is about the one of the witches who is misinterpreted by the others and her actions are a reaction to the illegal activities of the corrupt practices of the Wizard government.

The plot is based on one of the books authored by Gregory Maguire and the background of the story is in the Land of Oz. There has been a movie which has been filmed on the same story. Wicked tickets have often sold like hot cakes since the theme has been found to be quite interesting by most of the viewers.

The differentiating factor in these plays was that they were set up in a different era. The story revolves around two girls with opposite personalities and an unlikely friendship begins to bloom between both the girls.

The plot proceeds with a growing dissent from the citizens of Oz towards the activities of Elphaba who criticizes the wrong doings of the government and continues to face the wrath of the commoners. She is also ostracized due to her appearance which makes her stand out amongst the others. Wicked tickets were sold across the nation as the play was aired in many theatres.

The play has garnered positive response from the critics and the viewers and has been cited as one of the longest running plays clocking more than 3000 performances which continue to awe viewers.

The original theatrical claimed many awards and was successful in most of the theatres. The success of these plays can also be gauged by the thousands of Wicked Tickets which have been sold across most of the theatres where it has been performed.

Another reason which makes Wicked Tickets sell is the plot on which the play has been based. Prior to the play, there has been the movie Wizard of Oz which garnered good reviews from critics and viewers as well.

The main highlights in the play are the characters which are a part of the play and are equally fictitious considering the real world. These characters and their emotions evoke feelings in the viewers and the portrayal of what is wicked and what’s not wicked appears to be much more realistic.

The plot has been divided into two acts. The first one focuses on the entry to Elphaba and her character is posed as against the character of Galinda. In the next act, stress is laid on Elphaba’s denial of the means and methods employed by the government of Oz in dealing with the affairs of the Oz country.

Elphaba with the help of her knowledge of spells saves and punishes few characters of Oz thereby exacerbating the importance of wickedness. The treatment and the sensitivity in which these characters have been designed continue to be the selling point for the Wicked tickets.
